Moving Takes A Lot Of Work!!

This blog thing is SO difficult sometimes!!! I had to have some serious help from Derek. Good thing one of us knows computer crap. (Given my use of the word "crap" and the obviousness of the first sentence of this post, we're gonna say its Derek with the computer knowledge...)

ANYWAY, here are some pics. The family pic is from before we moved from Utah and we were trying to get the baby to take a decent bobble-head pic with us. Someday I'm going to put together a whole album dedicated to the millions of bobble-head pictures of me and Derek. I call the self portrait pics "bobble-head" pics, fyi. Let's see... Liliana loves Tigger. She talks to him ALL the time. It is soooo cute! The one with her in the hat is just funny I think. She looks like a hoodlum... or like its a mug shot. Haha. After her behavior today, it is quite fitting. And of course, the last one is me trying to catch a smile. There were like 30 before I got this one.

So we're almost all the way moved in finally. Tomorrow will be the last of it. I got my car on Sunday and that made it feel like everything is official. Derek started his job today and is pretty sure he's going to like it. We got to go to church finally (I was really missing it!!) and it was so odd to have everyone talking to us and offering help and stuff. I think I might actually make a friend this time!!

That's really all I have time for right now...

Peace out homefrys!!

What A Cutie!

This is just a random pic I took of Liliana on my phone last night. She was in a really good mood. Don't mind the mess in the background... its a slow moving in process when we have this cute little girl distracting us all the time!!

Peace out homefrys!

Home Sweet Home!

Ok, the title kinda lies. We are in our new homeTOWN, not so much in the new HOME. Our stuff is in limbo. They said they could deliver it on Friday last, but now they are saying that they don't have it and not sure when they will have it.... Hummmm.

So, it is absolutely beautiful here. And humid and hot. But so far it hasn't been too bad. We went to our apartment yesterday and did a video tour... coming soon to the blog. Derek is trying to make the file smaller so it will fit on here. Anyway, we got our car too. It got a little beat up during its journey to Manna. Its not likely that anything will be done about it tho. Derek is funny because he said that he still feels like he's just here on vacation (tho I'm not sure why anyone would come to Manna for a vacation unless they know someone here...) but that he has the perfect rental car. We got a rental car anyway and I gotta say that its pretty awesome. Its no camaro... but its a smooth ride fo'sho. Its a... buick grand marquis or something like that. It might be a mercury, not a buick. But I think they are from the same company anyway so it kinda doesn't matter. Anyway, I can totally see why old people drive those boats. Smooth ride, huge and comfy seats, and the speedometer numbers are HUGE and digital. Haha. I'm one step closer to being the crazy cat lady.

Let's see... Oh, the plane ride over here was fantastic. Our little Liliana was an absolute ANGEL. She didn't even cry. She slept when we took off, finished her bottle, and slept the rest of the ride mostly. She was awake for the landing but she did better than I did for that. She didn't even have a little bit of concern on her face and I was kinda freaking out on the inside. We got to our hotel waaaaaay late on Saturday night. I think we rolled in a little after 1 a.m. and then we didn't actually get to sleep til about 3. We were all pretty dead yesterday.

Anyway, I think we're gonna take care of a few things today... Like getting our mail (our keys do not work for our mailbox!), maybe getting Derek's car registered (at least figuring out what we need to do for it), possibly getting our driver's licenses... you know, responsible things. We'll get to play after our stuff gets here and we get unpacked. I'm gonna try talking Derek into going to Virginia Beach before the week is up and he has to go to work.

So I guess that's all for now!!

Peace out homefrys!

PS Derek got the video to work... obviously... so here's our new place!!

Oh Yes, The Timestamp IS Correct....

Duuuuuuuuuuuude.....

Moving sucks. I always forget how much it sucks til I'm doing it again and I'm up at 1:30 in the morning trying to tie up loose ends. The best part about this move is that I don't actually have to pack anything... its just not easy to get everything done that needs to be done while taking care of a baby. Who, by the way, has been totally healthy until TODAY. Of ALL days, WHY TODAY!?!? She's mostly fine... just having a bit of a poo problem. She's a lady so I won't embarrass her any further. But I kept thinking for the last two weeks "Oh, I'll get to that later." But of course, me being me, I waited til the last possible second to get things taken care of. I did not anticipate the baby being sick tho. I suppose that's one of the lessons I need to learn to be a mama. You know what else doesn't help? Derek is ALSO a professional procrastinator. It is truly amazing that we have made it this far in life together. Haha.

I'm waiting for laundry.... And I was going to finish reading a book I borrowed from my dad, but I thought that getting cozy on the chair would surely put me to sleep and defeat the purpose of my being awake. I also contemplated setting an alarm but I know myself all too well and I would just hit snooze several times. Instead, I'm choosing to be completely, 100% USELESS tomorrow. I'm not sure I get to call in sick being a mom... Seems like I'm making a bad choice here.

I don't know why I feel it necessary to share my every thought right now, but for some reason I just can't stop.

I have a hair hanging off all loose and stuff and its tickling my neck but when I look down it moves so I can't see it... Obnoxious? Yes.

I'm so excited to move. I'm a little depressed that I still have a week left here. I'm ready to go home NOW. But, I've been waiting my whole life (and not so patiently for the last 2 1/2 years) so I think I can make it ONE MORE WEEK. Besides, I still need to see a few people about a few things before I go. (Lol, can we say "mafia"??) I haven't been looking forward to saying goodbye to anyone. But really, the way I see it, the people that love me enough to bother saying "goodbye" are the ones I'll likely see again. And the rest... well, there's always facebook. Haha. And you thought text messaging was the end of personal contact...

Speaking of facebook, two things: first, it was awesome to get rid of my couches as fast as I did. My friend Greg texted me like 2 minutes after I posted "Free to first one with a truck" and then they were gone. Farewell ugly and uncomfortable couches!! And the second thing: I LOVE wasting time doing surveys and Top 5's on facebook. Today I did a top 5 about the people I had on my walls growing up. Now, I still think I'm growing up, but I haven't had any pictures on my bedroom walls since I moved out of my mom's house. Oh, I lied. I did have a picture of AFI in my bedroom at the Ghettos. Anyway, this Top 5 got me remembering the good old times of listening to Backstreet Boys in my bedroom. Hahahahaha... You know you ALL have some silly pre-teen obsession that makes you giggle. And I KNOW half of you can still sing every word to whatever band/musician you were in love with too!!! It was kinda fun remembering all the silliness of that time. And it totally reminded me of a million other fun things... like surprise parties, falling off the bunk bed, when the nasty catfish scared the crap out of Cliff when it jumped in his bed, among other things.

Random: (as if the hair thing wasn't random enough) I totally just deleted the entire post on accident!!! Good thing it "autosaved" like two seconds before. I don't even know how I did it. Technology hates me.

There was another random thought before the last random thought but I totally forgot it. I'll probably bust up laughing when I remember it in like 4 days.

I'll stop lowering your IQ now.

OH! I just remembered the other random thought!!! ...sorta. It was something about my really poor sentences and something else... Yeah, nevermind. (sleep deprivation does this to me.)

Peace out homefrys!!!

Haaaay!

Hahaha... I'm sure only Derek can interpret the title the way I mean it.... hehe

So we're going to get lost in "Manna" in just a minute. We're here to find an apartment. Which we did. And we're pretty excited about it. Tomorrow we're gonna be tourists and go check out the big city. I'm kinda really excited to go nerd out.

We miss our baby doll like you wouldn't believe. Everything we see we say something like "Oh, Liliana loves that!" or "I bet Liliana would like this!" It's pretty pathetic. She is hanging out with her G-Parents on the Holt side and her Great G-Parents Trujillo, so not only is she well taken care of, but I'm sure she's loving having all those people there to entertain her every second of every day. And she's been able to hang out with her cousin Cayson too. My mom is a wonderful person and sends me pictures of Liliana so that makes it a little easier. Not too much longer!!

That's all for now!

Peace out homefrys!

GROSS!

I guess I am officially a mom now... I got pooped on. SICK.

Huggies needs to do better testing on their diapers.

You know what the best part is? If she could have waited like 15 more minutes then she could have pooped on her Daddy!!! LAME!!!!!!!!!

That's all.

Peace out homefrys!
